Local Summer Fun

Summer is officially here!  It's hot, sunny and time for fun activities for the entire family,  The best part of this season in Atlanta is enjoying all the local outdoor activities.  We've compiled a short list of our favorite local fun to soak up the sun, cool off and enjoy the weather.

Located in Marietta enjoy an easy to intermediate hike or bike ride near the Chattahoochee River. One of the best features is renting bikes with the Movatic Bike Share App  ,they offer the first hour for free and 3 dollars for each additional hour .

This is a wonderful early afternoon or early morning breath of fresh air.

Ride or walk 2 miles up and back on a flat trail or if you're in need of a challenge or incline there are a few trails off the beaten path to explore.

Take note of the signs some Trails don't allow bikes . 

Located near Helen . Desoto Falls is an easy to moderate trail to explore with the family . Make a day out of it and enjoy the waterfalls with a picnic.

With summer bringing it's heat upon us, what better way to spend the day then at Riverside Park Splash pad located in Roswell.

Entry is just $2 for children ages 1 and up. Adults may enter free if they do not plan on getting wet.

Located in Lilburn The Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary provides a home for injured and orphaned wildlife, as well as a place where families can interact with deer, rabbits, goats and more.
