Resolutions vs Intentions

New Year New You?!

How many times have we heard this phrase in the last couple weeks?

It’s like in January you are expected to shed all the things that you don’t like about yourself or better yet all the habits that you want to change and start anew. The task of taking on everything that you want to change about yourself can be overwhelming and exhausting to say the least.

It’s no wonder so many of us give up on our resolutions by the second week of February!

While a resolution aims to “fix” ourselves, setting intentions allows us to live more fully in this human existence bringing grace, compassion and ease to all parts of ourselves.

It’s intending to live more fully not fix a perceived problem.

This year join me in setting intentions.

Energy flows where intention goes.

Some of my intentions for this year are:

∙ Move my body More

∙ Go to bed before 10pm

∙ Read more actual books
